Hope For Heroes

Hope for Heroes was created by active duty police officers in Southern California. Our
purpose is to provide information about donation accounts and fund raising events that
benefit police officers and firefighters who are facing catastrophic financial hardships due to
the illness or injury of a spouse or dependent child.

Throughout our many years of law enforcement experience, we found a tremendous need
for financial support for our heroes who are facing these types of challenges. Currently, there
are charitable benefits for police officers and firefighters who are injured, have been sick for
an extended period of time, or have died. These same charities also provide small benefits to
help cover funeral costs after their spouse or dependent child has died. As much as those
benefits are appreciated, they are often too little, too late.

Hundreds of our men and women have endured the devastating effect of increased medical
bills, the loss of their spouse's income, the depletion of paid leave time, and the dependence
on overtime or off-duty jobs just to make ends meet - all at a time when their family needs
them at home most. Many leave their exhausting shift at work to go to an equally
exhausting environment at home, caring for their loved ones.

Imagine the stress and concentration that is required of police officers and firefighters under
normal working conditions. It is a tragedy not to lend a helping hand to those who have
dedicated their lives to protecting others.

We are the first organization of it's kind and invite you to read about each of our hero
families in need. All families posted on our site have gone through an extensive and rigorous
evaluation to verify that all other available financial resources have been exhausted.
